For decades now, this fair has taken place once every two years in November. Following a break, the fair re-started in Cologne in November 2024 with some 80 exhibitors. A total of about 11,000 companies, drivers and persons familiar with the taxi trade from the worlds of business and government attended the European Taxi Fair. These visitors came from all parts of Germany and from other European countries.
The next European Taxi Fair will be held at the trade fair grounds in Cologne Deutz from 6 to 7 November.
The chairman of the Fachvereinigung Personenverkehr Nordrhein Taxi Mietwagen e.V. (Trade Association for Taxis and Hire Cars, North Rhine) and organiser of the fair, Markus Gossmann, says, “In 2024 the trade fair got going again in Cologne. In 2026 it is once again taking place in hall 1, a location that suited both exhibitors and visitors in 2024.“
At the end of February 2026, approximately 55 exhibitors who were present in hall 1 of the trade fair site in Cologne-Deutz in 2024, and therefore received the first invitation to exhibit, had booked stand spaces – a significant increase compared with the previous fair, holding out the prospect of a lively European Taxi Fair once again.
Ralf Nüsser, general manager of Koelncongress GmbH comments, „The European Taxi Fair increased in size by about 23% from one event to the next after returning from Essen back to Cologne. This is not only good news, but also confirms the importance of an attractive venue that has excellent infrastructure and is a place to spend quality time, complemented by an attractive programme in the city.“
Many more (potential) exhibitors known to the Fachvereinigung will receive the public invitation to take part at the end of February. The Fachvereinigung looks forward to welcoming further interested participants. The invitation to exhibit and the booking form can be found at www.eurotaximesse.de.
From 09 March 2026 onwards, the website www.eurotaximesse.de will again show the up-to-date hall plan and the list of exhibitors.
At the next European Taxi Fair, the taxi and hire-car trades will discuss important issues such as the latest developments in the law on passenger transport, powering systems and energy supply, the integration of the trade into public transport systems and inclusive means of transport with adapted vehicles. The famous prize draw with a taxi as the main prize will also take place again in 2026. As in 2024, the events of the next European Taxi Fair will be recorded in images and as audio.
