Today, Koelncongress Managing Director Ralf Nüsser honoured lit.COLOGNE, represented by its management Rainer Osnowski and Rieke Brendel, with an updated plaque of honour and now two stars for two decades at the Tanzbrunnen Köln.

Also present were the actresses Annette Frier and Maren Kroymann, organisers and protagonists of this year's first theme evening at the Tanzbrunnen, ‘Freundinnen müsste man sein’.

In 2015, the Wall of Fame was installed outside the Theater am Tanzbrunnen to honour long-standing, loyal artists and events with anniversary plaques and a star for each decade at the Tanzbrunnen Köln.

lit.COLOGNE has been held at the Tanzbrunnen theatre since 2002 - only interrupted in 2014 and 2020, the latter due to coronavirus-related restrictions.

When lit.COLOGNE was founded more than 25 years ago as a popular literature festival, it was not foreseeable that it would become one of the largest literature festivals in Europe. Every year it attracts more than 110,000 visitors, including more than 27,000 children at lit.kid.COLOGNE.

The festival is made possible by supporters and sponsoring partners, countless high-calibre authors, presenters and actors - and by the enthusiastic audience, which is praised as unique by authors from all over the world.
