As of May 1, 2024, Toni Ackermann (35) is Head of Congresses, Conferences and Events at Koelncongress GmbH. He is responsible for the 9-person team as well as further development of the congresses, conferences and events unit, while assuming overall business responsibility for all event projects at the Koelnmesse Congress Centres and Confex, which will be opening in June.
Toni Ackermann started at Koelncongress in May 2022 as a manager in the Guest Events unit and has been working as a Project Manager for congresses, conferences and events with a focus on Confex since the autumn of 2023.
While earning his Bachelor of Arts in English and German Studies, he worked as a student trainee and intern at Leipziger Messe and subsequently at the communications agency Avantgarde, where he most recently held the position of Project Manager Brand Experience. While working, Ackermann completed a Master of Arts in Sales & Marketing.
